Characteristics of the Wine: A ruby red color of medium intensity and purplish reflexes. A floreal perfume with particular notes of wild roses, raspberries and cinnamon; a dry balanced taste with scents of Vanilla, leather and tabacco
Geographical Location: These grapes come from the vineyard “Gaia Principe” in Neive, with an altitude of 350 meters above sea level; this ground varies in composition, with the base being that of Marl-Calcareous yet in some areas it is clayey and other areas calcareous. The vineyard has a South west exposure
Vine and Planting: The vineyards are composed of Nebbiolo ( Michet, Lampia, e Rosè) with Italian cloning material. The training system is Guyot with 5.000 plants per hectare
Technological Mentions: A traditional vinification with the cap submersed for 18 days, with regular and frequent “rimontaggi and follatura” at a temperature of 30 - 35°C to optimize extraction of the color. Once drawn off the wine is put in steel vats for 5 months and then is matured in oak casks for more than a year. Then it is refined in the bottle and kept in our cellar at a constant temperature of 16°C.
